Policeman killed, two injured in attack on motorcade of so-called assembly member

Srinagar, October 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a policeman was killed and two others injured in an attack by unknown gunmen on motorcade of a member of so-called assembly Abdul Majid Padder in Kulgam district on Saturday.

An official said in Srinagar that the attackers opened fire on two police vehicles at Nandimarg crossing in Damhal Hanjipora in the district. Both the vehicles skidded off the road, he said, adding that a policeman was killed and two others injured. Continue reading

Two CRPF men including an officer injured in an attack in IOK

Srinagar, October 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel including an officer were injured in an attack by unknown gunmen at Mir Bazaar area of Qazigund in Islamabad district on Saturday evening.

A police official said that gunmen opened fire upon a CRPF party near Malpora in Mir Bazaar area of Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu highway, leaving two CRPF troopers injured including a sub-inspector. Continue reading

New Delhi, October 07 (KMS): Illegally detained senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has said that he is facing threat to his life in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah has moved an application to a Delhi court seeking its directions to the Tihar Jail authorities to shift him to the high-risk ward. Srinagar, October 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities continued to impose strict restrictions in Srinagar to prevent people from taking out Aashura processions on the tenth day of Muharram, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, restrictions were particularly placed in Karan Nagar, Shaheed Gunj, Batamaloo, Shergari, Maisuma, Kothibagh, Kralkhud, Ram Munshi Bagh, Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, Maharaj Gunj and Safakadal areas of Srinagar. The authorities had deployed troops and paramilitary personnel in full riot gear across the city. New Delhi, October 01 (KMS): Instead of recommending the UN-advised method that calls for plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir to settle the dispute, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is still stuck to the stereotype demand of changes in constitutional provisions to “completely assimilate” the territory with India.

Srinagar, October 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities continued to impose strict restrictions in Srinagar on the second consecutive day, today, to prevent people from taking out Muharram processions.

The authorities have deployed Indian troops and police and paramilitary personnel in full riot-gear across the city to stop the Muharram processions. Pedestrian movement has been suspended while the forces’ personnel have placed coils of razor-fitted wire on the main roads to prevent movement of traffic. Officials told media that the restrictions will remain in force until tomorrow, the Aashura – 10th day of the Islamic month of Muharram.

Indian police had arrested dozens of mourners including an eight-year-old boy Haider Ansari, son of Jammu and Kashmir Ittehad-ul-Mslimeen President Masroor Abbas Ansari, during a Muharram procession in Srinagar, yesterday. Demos in Islamabad town after fresh braid-cutting incident

Srinagar, September 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful demonstrations in Islamabad town, today, against a fresh incident of braid-cutting in the adjoining Kulgam district.

The latest braid-chopping incident took place in Nihama area of Kulgam district at 10 am. The victim is mother of three children and is under treatment at Public Health Center Nihama. Continue reading
