Islamabad town shuts for 2nd day against killing of youth

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad town on the 2nd consecutive day, today, against the killing of two youth Indian troops, the other day.

The troops had killed the youth, Yawar Nissar and Ghulam Mohiuddin Butt, during a cordon and search operation at Kanelwan in Bijbehara area of the district on Thursday late night.

Islamabad town and its adjoining areas remain closed for the second day against the killings. People staged forceful demonstrations in Lal Chowk, Sherpora, Achajipora, Janglat Mandi and Achabal Adda localities of the town. Indian police and troops used brute force to break up the demonstrations, triggering clashes between the protesters and the forces’ personnel.
