India upset by vast support to self-determination: Gilani

Srinagar, September 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has thanked the people of Kashmir for observing complete shutdown against the visit by Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh and raids by National Investigation Agency in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that people’ overwhelming support to right to self-determination had frustrated New Delhi. “People of Kashmir are being mercilessly killed, maimed, blinded, women molested and properties vandalized,” he said while reacting to the meeting between Rajnath and puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in Srinagar. Syed Ali Gilani said, “There is no guarantee of life and dignity and every soul is at risk in the territory.”

The APHC Chairman said that Indian authorities had exploited Kashmiris’ resources and puppet authorities had bargained so-called development projects for their mean interests.

“They can’t befool pro-freedom people,” said Syed Ali Gilani while referring to the deceit played by Indian authorities and added that on one hand they were parroting about so-called development and on the other hand followed their sinister designs of changing the Muslim majority character of Jammu and Kashmir by amending Articles 370 and 35A.

Syed Ali Gilani paid rich tributes to youth martyred in Shopian and Sopor.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War in their joint statement condemned the crackdown against the joint resistance leadership.
