KTK holds peaceful protest in Srinagar

Srinagar, September 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamruda Habib, along with her party activists held a peaceful silent protest at Press Enclave in Srinagar, today, on International Peace Day to draw attention of the world towards urgency involved in the settlement of Kashmir dispute for ensuring global peace.

Zamruda Habib talking to media persons on the occasion said the International Peace Day has more importance and relevance when the situation is grim and grave. She said that India had imposed war on the people of Kashmir. She said war is no solution to any problem but is itself a big problem that brings poverty, devastation and destruction to human lives and natural resources.

Zamruda Habib said peaceful measures are required for resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute. She said Kashmiris want peace, prosperity and freedom and their sentiments should be respected.

“We believe in peace and if the Kashmir issue is not addressed peacefully, seriously and sincerely, it will bring vast destruction not only to Kashmir, Pakistan and India but also to whole South Asia,” she said.

Zamruda Habib appealed to all the stakeholders to make sincere and honest efforts for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute. “Our sincere suggestion to the BJP government is to stop waging war against unarmed innocent people, stop innocent killings, stop using lethal weapons and understand and accept the ground realities and start an unconditional peaceful dialogue process with all the stakeholders to save the humanity from mass destruction,” she maintained.
