Geneva, September 22 (KMS): Kashmiri representatives, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi and Ms Benazir Khan, held an important meeting with the representatives of different international NGOs on the sidelines of the ongoing 36th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Syed Faiz Naqshbandi and Ms Benazir Khan apprised them of the systematic and massive human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
They said, India has enacted various inhuman laws that facilitate human rights violations in the occupied territory. Indian forces are empowered by these laws that they can shoot to kill anyone with complete impunity, they added.
Syed Faiz Naqshbandi and Ms Benazir Khan said that India was using pellet guns against peaceful protestors and about a thousand of young Kashmiri had lost their eyesight permanently due to the injuries caused by this lethal weapon. The APHC leadership in occupied Kashmir including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and Hilal War are being victimised, harassed and implicated in fabricated cases by Indian NIA, they deplored.
