Gilani pays rich tributes to martyrs of Karbala

Srinagar, September 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, paying glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions who were martyred at Karbala, has said that this was not just a battle between two forces, but it was a fight between two ideologies.

Syed Ali Gilani presiding over a seminar on Shahadat-e-Hussain (RA) organized by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat at its head office in Hyderpora area of Srinagar said, “Imam Hussain (RA) honestly and courageously fought the forces that were trying to convert Khalifate into Mallokiyat,”.

The seminar was attended among others by prominent personalities and Hurriyat leaders including Ghazi Muin-ul-Islam, Maulana Altaf Nadvi, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Hakim Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Yasin Attai, Muhammad Yusuf Mir, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Syed Imtiaz Shah and Syed Muhammad Shafi. The puppet authorities barred Hurriyat leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik from taking part in the event. A written speech by the Mirwaiz was read on the occasion by Muhammad Rafiq Shah.

“Imam Hussain (RA) and his associates while sacrificing their precious lives, conveyed that believers should in no way hesitate to offer sacrifices in order to save human beings from oppression and suppression,” Syed Ali Gilani said in his address. He appealed to the Muslim Ummah and youth to follow and understand the divine message of Holy Quran and teachings of beloved Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

“Imam Hussain set a precedence for nations to come and with his blood conveyed that patience and persistence are two valuable virtues, one should observe while confrontation with evil forces. He never opted for war or confliction but it was rather imposed on him and his associates,” he added.

Syed Ali Gilani also paid glorious tributes to the youth, Abdul Qayoom Najar, who was martyred by Indian troops In Uri on Tuesday and said that India had declared war against people of occupied Kashmir and unabated bloodshed was pain giving. He expressed his heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family members of the martyr and prayed for the forbiddance and patience for them.
