Two CRPF men including an officer injured in an attack in IOK

Srinagar, October 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel including an officer were injured in an attack by unknown gunmen at Mir Bazaar area of Qazigund in Islamabad district on Saturday evening.

A police official said that gunmen opened fire upon a CRPF party near Malpora in Mir Bazaar area of Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu highway, leaving two CRPF troopers injured including a sub-inspector.

Both the injured were shifted to nearby hospital where from they were referred to army base hospital Srinagar for further treatment.

Soon after the incident police, Indian army and paramilitary forces launched a massive siege and search operation in the area to nab the attackers.
