Shabbir Shah faces threat to life in Tihar Jail

New Delhi, October 07 (KMS): Illegally detained senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has said that he is facing threat to his life in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah has moved an application to a Delhi court seeking its directions to the Tihar Jail authorities to shift him to the high-risk ward. In the application moved before Additional Sessions Judge, Sidharth Sharma, he also said that the jail authorities were not providing him proper medical facilities.

The application moved through advocate M S Khan said, “There is serious threat to his (Shah’s) life and few incidents have happened with him in jail as well as in the judicial lock-up.” Continue reading

Restrictions in IOK to prevent Muharram processions

Srinagar, October 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities imposed strict restrictions in Srinagar, today, to prevent people from taking out Muharram processions.

The authorities deployed Indian troops and police and paramilitary personnel in full riot gear across the city, particularly in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Maisuma, Kralkhud, Kothibagh, Ram MunshiBagh Batamaloo, Sherghari, Karan Nagar, Shaheed Gunj, Khanyar, Rainawari, Mharaj Gunj, Nowhatta and Safakada, to stop the Muharram processions. RSS chief suggests way to integrate IOK with India

New Delhi, October 01 (KMS): Instead of recommending the UN-advised method that calls for plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir to settle the dispute, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is still stuck to the stereotype demand of changes in constitutional provisions to “completely assimilate” the territory with India.

In his over an hour-long Vijayadashmi speech at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said necessary constitutional amendments would have to be made and old provisions changed in Jammu and Kashmir. Continue reading

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the restrictions on political activities in the territory and disallowing resistance leaders to court arrest at National Investigation Agency headquarters in New Delhi signify a moral victory for resistance leadership.

Troops kill two youth during 18-hour operation in Shopian

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops during their 18-hour long military operation martyred two youth in Shopian district.

The two youth identified as Tariq Ahmad Butt and Altaf Ahmad, were martyred during a siege and search operation in Barabugh area of the district. The troops killed Tariq Ahmad Butt, last night, while Altaf Ahmad early this morning. Continue reading

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of a mujahid commander, Shahid Ahmad Sheikh in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district.

People from different areas including Rafiabad, Qaziabad and Zainageer marched towards the Kachloo area of Rafiabad where Sheikh was laid to rest amid pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. Shahid Ahmad Sheikh was martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Reban area of Sopore, yesterday. CRPF vehicle crashes old man to death in IOK

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an elderly man was crushed to death after being hit by a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle in Khayam area in Srinagar, last night.

Sanaullah Mir, 50, was walking in Khayam area when a CRPF vehicle hit him injuring him critically. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. Continue reading

Shutdown being observed in IOK today

Srinagar, September 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, against Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh’s visit to the territory.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

‘Detentions carried out to stop us from exposing NIA drama’

Srinagar, September 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of the Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that the puppet authorities detained him and other Hurriyat leaders to stop them from exposing the NIA drama.

Senior resistance leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Gilani, were placed under house arrest while Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested and shifted to Central Jail Srinagar. The action was aimed at stopping the leaders from going to New Delhi and staging a demonstration outside the headquarters of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) against its cruel policies regarding the people of Kashmir.
