New Delhi, September 06 (KMS): Senior journalist and champion of Dalit
cause, Gauri Lankesh was shot dead by attackers at her residence in Bengaluru, the capital city of Indian state, Karnataka.Gauri, aged 55, had returned home in her car and was opening the gate when motorcycle-borne assailants fired at her indiscriminately with two bullets hitting her in the chest and one on her forehead, police officials said.

Dead body found under mysterious circumstances in IOK

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, police on Monday recovered a body in a mysterious condition at Achabal in Islamabad district.

A police statement issued in Srinagar said, “Today at about 9.30 hrs Police Station Achabal, Islamabad received information that body of one Shabbir Ahmad Wani son of Abdur Rehman Wani is lying on their roof of his one storey under construction house.” Continue reading

Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrated in IOK

Srinagar, August 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Pakistan’s Independence Day was celebrated with the singing of Pakistan’s national anthem and shouting of “Long Live Pakistan” slogans in Srinagar, Shopian, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Badgam and other districts of the territory, today.

Special prayers were offered for safety and integrity of Pakistan and freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from illegal occupation of India. Dukhtaran-e-Millat arranged Independence Day functions in several areas of the territory. Parades were held while Pakistan flag was hoisted in the length and breadth of the territory. Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Dr Qasim Faktoo and others in their messages greeted the people and the Government of Pakistan on the Day. Syed Ali Gilani said that the Kashmiris were highly grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for extending its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to their just cause of freedom.
