Indian troops martyr two Kashmiri youth in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two Kashmiri youth in Srinagar, today.

The troops killed the youth inside a school building during a violent cordon operation in Pantha Chhoke area of Srinagar. The troops also resorted to heavy mortar shelling during the operation. Three Indian soldiers including a Captain also sustained injuries during the operation.

The troops had launched the operation last evening after the killing of an officer of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and injuring of two other personnel in an attack in the area. Continue reading

India sends 1 lac plastic bullets, Pava shells to Kashmir

New Delhi, June 20 (KMS): India has supplied its forces deployed in Kashmir with over one lac plastic bullets to control crowds in the valley, reports said.

It has also supplied forces with PAVA (made of pelargonic acid vanillyl amide, an organic compound found in natural chilli pepper) shells that are more pungent, to increase their effectiveness. The new shells consist of oleoresin, which is more natural and pungent in comparison to the chemical-based PAVA shells, the reports further said. Continue reading

Protests in Kulgam against atrocities by troopsTehreek-e-Hurriyet leader booked under PSA

Srinagar, June 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, protest demonstrations marked by complete shutdown, were held in Kulgam district against the highhandedness of Indian army and police.

The residents of Frisal area of district, today, staged protests against the ransacking of houses by Indian troops in the area without any provocation. Complete shutdown was observed against the forces’ action.

The residents took to the streets to protest against the smashing of windowpanes of houses and damage to vehicles parked on the roadside in the village.

Meanwhile, doctors stayed away from work at Government Medical College Srinagar in protest against the thrashing of a fellow doctor by police while he was on duty. The post-graduate students and resident doctors protested against the incident. The protesters said the doctor was seriously injured in the attack. The protesters demanded action against the policeman involved in the incident.

On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader form Islamabad district, Fayaz Ahmad Dar was booked under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) today, and was shifted to Kathua jail in Jammu. He was arrested yesterday in Bijbehara.
