Shutdown in Budgam against NIA raid on Al-Moosvi’s residence

Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Badgam town, today, against a raid by the sleuths of India’s National Investigation Agency on the residence of senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi.

Normal life was affected in the town today due to the shutdown call issued by Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi. All shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed in the town.

The NIA sleuths had yesterday conducted a raid at the residence of Agha Al-Moosvi which continued till late evening. The NIA officials had to flee in a hurry after hundreds of people raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans held massive protests and stormed into the residence of the APHC leader. The protesters said that the NIA officials had misbehaved with Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi and his family and harassed them. Continue reading

Shutdown in Pulwama areas to mourn killing of youth

Srinagar, August 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama, Kakapora, Pampore and other areas of the south Kashmir, today, to mourn the killing of a youth, Muhammad Ayub Lone.

All shops and business establishments, schools and colleges remained closed while traffic was off the road.

Ayub Lone was killed by Indian troops during a cordon operation in Banderpora area of the district, yesterday. Continue reading

Islamabad town shuts for 2nd day against killing of youth

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad town on the 2nd consecutive day, today, against the killing of two youth Indian troops, the other day.

The troops had killed the youth, Yawar Nissar and Ghulam Mohiuddin Butt, during a cordon and search operation at Kanelwan in Bijbehara area of the district on Thursday late night. Continue reading

Shutdown in IOK today against killing of youth Schools, colleges closed, internet snapped

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, to protest against the bloodbath unleashed by trigger-happy Indian troops in Pulwama and other parts of the territory.

The resistance leadership in a joint statement issued in Srinagar also appealed to the people to offer funeral prayers in absentia for three youth killed by the troops at Hakhripora in Pulwama, yesterday. Continue reading
