Srinagar, August 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his 9th martyrdom anniversary.
Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops on this day in 2008 while he was leading a procession from Srinagar to the Line of Control against the economic blockade of the Kashmir Valley by Hindu extremists of Jammu. Continue reading
Srinagar, August 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to four youth including a student Muhammad Younis who were martyred by Indian troops at Gulab Bagh in Tral area of Pulwama district on Wednesday.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed deep concern over the use of indiscriminate force on peaceful protesters. “Our innocent youth are prime target of brutal Indian forces. The forces’ personnel are using unjustified force against peaceful people in the Kashmir Valley. Virtually the affairs of the territory are run by the occupational forces and rule of any law is virtually nowhere and non-existent,” he said. Continue reading

Srinagar, August 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and Hurriyat forum Chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have expressed grief over the killing of one more youth, Aqeel Ahmad, saying that trigger-happy troops are resorting to unjustified force against peaceful civilians.

Resistance leaders denounce killing of youth by troops
Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Beerwah town and its adjoining areas in Budgam district, today, to protest against the killing of a youth in Indian Army’s firing.
The youth, Tanveer Ahmad Wani, a young tailor, was shot dead by army personnel during protests in Beerwah town, yesterday. All shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town, Khag and Aripanthan areas, today, to mourn the killing of the youth. The occupation authorities had imposed strict restrictions and sealed all entry and exit points of Beerwah town to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killing.
Complete strike was also observed in Zirpora area of Bijbehara – the home town of puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti – against the desecration of a mosque and other atrocities by Indian forces. The forces’ personnel had damaged windowpanes of Shahi Masjid in the area, last evening. Continue reading

A Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front delegation comprising Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Javed Ghazi Butt, Khizar Muhammad Dawoodi, Tariq Ahmad and Molvi Nazir Ahmad visited Noderbigh Chak Pulwama while another delegation comprising Muhammad Ishaaq Ganai, Muhammad Akram Khan and Nazir Ahmad Khan visited Kokernag and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
